September 25, 2007

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx recently spoke to CNN about his book, "The Heroin Diaries". Watch the eight-minute interview at this location.

"The Heroin Diaries" came out on Tuesday (September 18). The book is taken from actual journals Sixx kept in the late '80s while in the grip of a near-fatal heroin addiction.

A soundtrack album, which Sixx recorded under the name SIXX: A.M., came out last month. It debuted on the Billboard album chart at No. 63, selling 11,000 copies.

An acoustic version of the song "Life is Beautiful", which appears on the SIXX: A.M. album, is available for streaming on Nikki's MySpace page.

Twenty-five percent of Sixx's royalties from the book will go to Running Wild In The Night, a charity he established in conjunction with Covenant House to rescue homeless and runaway youth from the streets.

Nikki Sixx is in the middle of book-signing tour for "The Heroin Diaries". Remaining dates are as follows:

Sep. 25 - Virgin - Times Square - New York, NY
Sep. 26 - Borders - Philadelphia, PA
Sep. 27 - Borders - Boston, MA
